In a dream world, mowing the grass and trimming the hedges would be all the care these aspects of your garden need. Sadly, this is not the case. Regularly mowed lawns can still become moss ridden & weedy, or simply dying off in the shade. Additionally, even cared for shrubs can become infected or overrun with pests.
We look to understand and target the root causes of any issues your lawn and shrubs may be facing. Has the grass been suppressed by shade?
Are the shrubs planted in the wrong place with the wrong soil type or pH?
The secret to getting plants to grow is to replicate the conditions that they came from in the wild.
We have this knowledge & so can help you with these problems making sure we remove the problem, not cover the symptoms.
For lawns, we can use machinery & organic feeds to remove the moss.
We can aerate the roots of the existing grass & overseed & top dress the lawn to revitalize it, which is a much cheaper option than returfing.
Re turfing often doesn’t solve the problems affecting lawns & a more cost effective option is to scarify to remove moss & thatch, slit, reseed (with shade-tolerant seed if grass growth is suppressed by shade) and top dress. This can be done Autumn, Winter or early Spring
